Old Town Wine Walk (Deadline: Friday, April 5, 2019) Downtown businesses will host wine tastings in 10 downtown businesses. Approximately 450 event attendees will walk from business to business, tasting local wine and eating food from local restaurants. Wineries will have the opportunity to sell wine by the bottle, and attendees will have the opportunity make purchases inside the downtown businesses.

When? Friday, May 17, 2019 from 6pm-9pm

How? Attendees purchase a ticket to the event and receive a wine glass and the opportunity to taste wine from local wineries in various downtown businesses. Event participants may purchase bottles of wine, nice bags to carry wine bottles, and tasty treats. Each attendee also receives an event map that details participating locations.

Passport to Old Town (Deadline: Friday, April 5, 2019) Businesses throughout Old Town Beaverton will be participating in the summer Passport to Old Town program, which will market downtown as a place to explore multiple unique destination businesses. Visitors will have a map of downtown showing participating businesses and will receive a stamp at each business they visit, receiving discounts and benefits along the way.

When? May 2019 – August 2019

Old Town Scavenger Hunt (Deadline: Friday, May 3, 2019) Special items (like stuffed beavers) will be hidden throughout Old Town Beaverton, most often in our unique businesses, but sometimes at historic locations in Old Town. People will have a map of the area that leads them to their next destination, where they learn something new about their community and meet interesting people. The scavenger hunt will be a one-day event, starting at the Farmers Market, where 15,000 people come to Old Town each week. People who complete the scavenger hunt will receive a special stamp on their Passport to Old Town.

When? June 2019

Old Town CoSign (Deadline: Friday, May 3, 2019) CoSign is a collaborative business signage project that brings artists, business owners, and sign fabricators together to create 10-12 unique and artistic business blade signs in our historic downtown Beaverton. These signs will project perpendicular from exterior business walls, drawing attention to businesses that may otherwise be easily overlooked by injecting art into the downtown Beaverton community.

When? June 2019 – November 30, 2019


  • Promotional materials (flyers, brochures, press releases, etc.)

  • Community informational meetings (2)

  • Design “Blitz”, where artists, businesses, fabricators, & sign experts collaborate together to finalize sign designs

  • VIP Viewing Party: Completed signs will be stored in a central location where community leaders will be invited to see the signs and network with business owners, artists, and fabricators.

  • Signage unveiling event: Once signs are installed, business owners will go up in a bucket truck and unveil their sign in front of a cheering audience anticipated on November 30, 2019, Small Business Saturday.

Old Town Enhancement Project (Deadline: Friday, May 3, 2019)

This is a street beautification project between the area near 1st Street and Watson Avenue extending to the Library West parking lot near City Park. This project may include volunteer clean-ups, art installations, and landscaping improvements in order to enhance the walking environment from one of the primary public lots to the center of activity in Old Town.

When? June 2019

Public Tabling Events (German Holiday Market, etc.) (Deadline: Friday, June 7, 2019) The BDA will display your organization’s logo or brochures at its event booth that it uses to promote Old Town, recruit volunteers, and share relevant information. In 2018 alone, our booths were exposed to over 15,000 people.

When? Throughout 2019

Beaverton Restaurant Week (Deadline: Friday, August 2, 2019) Approximately 40 restaurants participated in 2018, offering unique menu items during the duration of the program. We anticipate more participating restaurants this year, with thousands of people seeing the marketing for this event and coming to Old Town to eat as a result. Sponsors will be recognized on online promotions and on fitting printed materials.
