Have you heard the buzz coming from the corner of Angel and 1st Street? DITA Barbers has recently expanded to allow more room for giving their clients the special experience they all deserve. The music flows and the vibe is positive coming from Downtown Beaverton’s ultra modern, super minimalist, creatively eclectic barbershop.
Sean Sundita, the creator and owner of DITA Barbers took the leap from a corporate job at Genentech where he was a senior manufacturing supervisor to the world of entrepreneurship. He chose barbering because of its creative potential. Before opening DITA Barbers in October 2017, he worked at a high end and traditional barbershop in the Pearl District.
Sean wanted to provide Beaverton with a barbershop that was “fun, chill, and has positive vibes. The perception of barbering is typical chain shops that offer quick cuts with inconsistent results and established/traditional barbershops that were not current with today’s trends.” DITA Barbers is most certainly on trend!
The excitement of what’s happening and of what’s to come is one of Sean’s favorite things about downtown and central Beaverton. “People constantly talk in the shop about new restaurants or stores that they just discovered and can’t wait to find out more”.
I asked Sean what he is most proud of in his business, “positively affecting the lives and careers of my fellow barbers who choose to remain a part of DITA Barbers. I’m sincerely grateful for them”.
During our interview I always like to ask what nuggets of advice they can share. Sean’s one piece of advice was this: Gloria’s Secret Cafe - I think we can all benefit from that!
Asked what he loves the most about what he does, “I love the unlimited potential of being an entrepreneur. Plain and simple, the only thing stopping me from achieving the goals and aspirations that I constantly dream up in my head is myself. That in itself excites me on a daily basis.”
The barbers at DITA Barbers are skilled at what they do! Their authenticity and true passion for their craft is evident when you meet them. Stop by and say hello!
Note: Since our interview DITA Barbers has added one more barber to the line-up! Check out @sabrina_thewitchh on Instagram or swing by when you are downtown!
